Can You Still Believe That Some States Don't Have a State False Claims Act?

The Nevada News Bureau did an excellent piece today on the Nevada False Claims Act and the emphasis Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has placed on enforcing the Nevada False Claims Act.

Its amazing to me that every state legislature in the country doesn't understand the message General Masto conveys in this article—enforcement of a state false claims act doesn't have to cost the state a dime and pays for itself, and recovering stolen money is a major source of new revenue without dipping into the taxpayers pocket....

Of course, it has always seemed to me that states like Maryland who fail to enact true false claims acts don't fail because they don't understand how it works or because there is not enough evidence for how a proper state false claims act works—they fail for numerous other reasons....
